I watched this bird together with Richard on both 19th and 21st October. Apart from what can be seen in the pictures the bird called different from a normal Common Snipe and also appeared to have all dark underwings as far as we could see in flight. I can't find anything about the flight call of Wilson's Snipe in the litterature I have available so information regarding that would be most appreciated!

A possible wilson's snipe was a Eiði, Faroe Islands from 25th of october to at least 30th. I saw it a few times, but did not get pics of the underwing or tail. You can see the bird here:

When flushed it called quite different from our common snipes. The call was more hoarse and dry and sort of less melodious than our local birds, which have a much clearer tone when calling. It's hard to describe a call in letters, but the difference was easy to hear.
