Beskrivelse: Saw 6 birds on our tour to Cousin. In the 1980s there were less than 20 remaining individuals - recovery programmes have provided opportunities for this species to survive on predator free islands.
Beskrivelse: Adult. Compared to Sooty Tern, the Bridled has much less darktipped primaries and secondaries. The flight is more Common Tern-like, and the Bridled is more coastal than the bigbrother Sooty.
Beskrivelse: Adulte Brilleterner har gråbrun ryg, lysere mod nakken, der er adskilt fra den sorte isse med en hvid halskrave. Den hvide pandeblis når forbi øjet. I forhold til Sodfarvet Terne er Brilleternen mindre, lettere og mere Fjordterneagtig.
