Beskrivelse: Dungarpur District is not usually on Birdwatching itinaries but actually has great wetlands which attract migrant species in large numbers. The town of Dungarpur itself has a lake, Gaibsager where I found 117 species in the course of a few walks. And if the budget is up to it the The Udai Bilas Palace hotel has to be expierienced. Situated on Gaibsagar Lake it is the prime location for observation, and the birds come remarkably close. The Maharaja is an enthusiastic conservationist and very helpful to visiting birdwatchers.
Beskrivelse: Taken at the Udai Bilas Palace Hotel, (the croc is made of stone!). The Maharaja of Dungarpur who lives in part of the palace, is a keen birdwatcher. Each room has a check list for the Palace grounds and adjoining lake. The local countyside has great habitat too.
Hej Johannes

I considered white-browed wagtail for this bird when I saw it as well, but this individual differed plumage-wise (very pale back for instance) from the other white-broweds I saw during my Nepal stay. Therefore, I thought it might be an odd subspecies of white wagtail instead. What is more, at the time I didn't think that the bird was as heavily built as the other white-broweds I've seen, but of course I may have gotten the wrong impression. But most likely you're correct, since there really is no subspecies of white wagtail that looks like this bird. Right now my vote would be on white-browed wagtail as well.
Motacilla Madaraspatensis.
