Beskrivelse: Hi,
A Brunnich's Guilemot was found in Lille, Belgium at the 5th of august. The bird was found by a farmer in a meadow 100km inland!!!
We don't know if this species is kept in captivity in Belgium but chances are very low and I'm pretty sure that there are definetly no birds of the species in aviaries in the surrounding villages.
All in all a very rare and strange observation. Would the rule 'Anything can turn up Anywhere' comply with this?
Any comments welcome.

Hi
A Brünnich's Guillemot was seen migration towards southeast at Lista on the southern tip of Norway on 4th of august. The date is very unusual for records of this species on the norwegian coast of the North Sea. The record from Belgium migth be seen in relation to the norwegian record.

Beskrivelse: This adult female was trapped and ringed at Merksplas, Belgium. The heavily damaged tail (several tailfeathers missing on one side) is probably due to trapping and handling of the bird. The central pair tailfeathers are heavily worn and not moulted where the rest of the tailfeathers have been replaced. This concludes that we have an adult bird in female plumage.
The record has not been investigated by the BHAC (Belgian rarities committee).
