Beskrivelse: These beauties are commonly seen in the national parks of India. Here it is perched on the brick wall representing the outer boundary of the Keoladeo National park.
Beskrivelse: At Bharatpur during winter it is a superb experience when confronted with numerous Taiga and Red-breasted Flycatchers. Identification is however relatively easy when the bird is found, as both species most often give them selves away with their individually characteristic calls. A slow, barely countable five-note rattle in Red-breasted and a twice as fast and drier rattle in Taiga Flycatcher.
Note: All dark bill, overall cold tone to plumage with greybrown upperparts (warmer in Red-breasted) and light grey throat and breast. Black uppertail-coverts, whitish tips to greater coverts and tertials. The spot-like white dots in tertial tips rather than just a fringe indicates 1'st winther Taiga.
Fint billede af d. ret truede, og her ret garvede,
Indiske Skovstork, OLE !
Men ID betegnelserne 'Spoonbill' og Platalea bør
skyndsomst omgøres af NETFUGL.

Beskrivelse: This Lesser Whitethroat seemed very warm, emphasized by the morning light. It was quite a small bird, uttering a series of short and sharp notes.
