Beskrivelse: The subspecies <i>sokokensis</i> is endemic to forests of the coastal regions of southeastern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania.
Populations of other subspecies are scattered in southeastern Tanzania, northern Malawi and Mozambique.
The Arabuko-Sokoke Forest probably hold the worlds largest population of this species with an estimated 7500 pairs.
