Beskrivelse: After a succesful Snow Leopard expedition to Ladakh in Indian Kashmir, some of us visited Chambal River south of Delhi. The Chambal River National Sanctuary is certainly a very important locality,a birding paradise, and holding 3 endangered species (Indian Skimmer, Ganges Gavial Crocodile and Ganges River Dolphin) in one of the few remaining unpolluted and clear rivers of Northern India. The Skimmers usually show up by the end of November to breed, and we were lucky to find the newly arrived first eleven birds way up the river.
