Beskrivelse: Timbered area near the coast. I presume it's an sub-adult bird (2cy?). A beginning rufous collar. Pale streaks on the face. This bird is also paler and smaller than the southern ssp. fasciatus. End of september and very dry, - the bird is looking for a drop of drinking water inside the premises of Broome Bird Observatory. Picture taken from the Observatorys 'shadehouse'. A visit at the observatory is higly recommended if in WA.
