Beskrivelse: The avifauna of Repetek-area (Repetek Zapovednik and Repetekskiy) includes some of the most cool Central Asian species: Displaying Egyptian Nightjar (we know the location), MacQueens Bustard, Pallid Scops-owl, White-winged Woodpecker, Panders Ground Jay, Saxaul Sparrow, Asian Desert Sparrow, etc ... and then the resident Streaked Scrub-warbler. The latter inhabits small bushes and saxaul trees, often forages on the ground and are in general an active little creature. Occurs in small family troops and the characteristic soft pleasaent rolling call is often heard.
The Repetek is situated in the central part of the East Karakum. Typical features of the relief are large-ridge meridional and submeridional sands 15-20m height, with barchan massifs and valley depressions.

The reserve is closed, but birding is excellent in the vicinity - there is enough desert!
