Titel: Red phase
Beskrivelse: Sokoke Scops Owl is an East African endemic confined to two isolated populations in the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest in Kenya and the East Usambara Mountains of Tanzania.
The Arabuko-Sokoke Forest holds about 1000-1500 pairs while the population in Tanzania (which was discovered as recently as 1992) holds a few hundred pairs.
This rare red-phased bird was found on a day roost by our very competent guide <a href="http://www.spinetailsafaris.com/guides">Willy Nganda Kombe</a> from <a href="http://www.spinetailsafaris.com/">Spinetail Safaris</a>.
