Titel: winter plumage
Beskrivelse: From the perspective of a seawatcher from the Northern Hemisphere the skuas all looked strangely pied at a distance, all being dark brown on the upper wings broardly patched with white. A closer look revealed the white patches being the result of moult, unmasking white feather bases.
