Beskrivelse: I became aware of this bird because it called from a reed bed. It did not sound like a flava yellow wagtail, and thus I was very eager to see it. After ½ a minute I located the bird and my first thought was citrine wagtail due to the dobble white wingbar, greyish back and head pattern. But as far as I could remember there were no records of citrine wagtails in Tanzania or even the entire East Africa, so it had to be a lutea type yellow wagtail. And I had heard that eastern yellow wagtails in deed sound like citrine wagtails.
Anyways, to be sure I sent the rather poor pics I obtained of the bird to some people, and most agree that it is in deed a citrine wagtail.
Comments are most welcome!
