Beskrivelse: Photgraphed at almost the exact same spot as the 1cy bird a week ago. The picture shows a subadult bird. Comments regarding more precise age of the bird are welcome. Steppe Eagles migrate south through the Kathmandu Valley from October to December. Some of them come down to forage on the outskirts of the city. They go down to search the rubbish that is spread in the immensely polluted Bagmati River. Unfortunately the main water supply in the valley is being used as a floating rubbish dump. Today some 10+ Steppe Eagles were present along the river near Tauadaha Lake in the SW corner of the valley.
