Dear JENS, Thanks for the male Nrn Black Korhaan more beautiful in colours and posture than in handbook illustrations, such as Praed & Grant, Roberts, and Sinclair et al. 1993. Your picture appears to display exterior aspects of the kinship between bustards and lapwings and plovers... KR .......... C.

Just a note: 'Danske Navne...', DOF 2008, has the two Black Korhaan species under genus Afrotis. Rgds ............... C.
