Nej, John!
Jeg eftersøger gode argumenter for, at dette er en islandsk hvinand!
I'm looking for good arguments that this is a barrow's goldeneye. Look at the discussion on a previous pic.
Sæll Silas,
Once again, definitely a Barrow's Goldeneye. In typical eclipse plumage (they normally loose completely the white spot in the face). The combination of very dark head (black-looking), more greyish body (darker above, and paler on breast) are all typical. Head shape couldn't be better, have never seen a Common Goldeneye with a head like this. Head vs body jizz is also good. Have also seen just a few C. goldeneyes in eclipse in Iceland and they have normally stood out in the goldeneye flocks. Been a few year since my last one in eclipse but I recall they have a browner head?
