Beskrivelse: June 19, 2000 the Danish birder and scientist Jørgen Rabøl (JR) discovered a Needle-tailed Swift on the island of Mykines, Faeroes Islands. This was - perhaps not surprisingly - the first record for the islands. Next day Copenhagen birder Morten Jørgensen met JR on Mykines and a few hours later he refound the bird and obtained these photos of the bird. The only swift species seen in Denmark are Common Swift, Pallid Swift and Alpine Swift - by far the poorset swift-list by any Northern European countries.
