Hell yeah!!! What a day at Corvo! A Golden-winged Warbler found at the Lighthouse valley :-) The 2nd record for WP and the 1st record for the Azores. After seeing it really well for a few seconds only a few managed extremely poor flight views for the next 4 hours with heavy rain and strong winds… So people had almost given up and started asking questions like “did you really see the yellow on the wings…?” when Josh Jones finally relocated the bird about 400m from where it had first been seen - now showing extremely well! But this was not the only good bird seen in the valley today. Besides the Golden-winged Warbler a Black-and-white Warbler was found by Pierre-Andre Crochet and seen well several times. A Red-eyed Vireo and 2-3 American Cliff Swallows were seen as well.
