I'm quite sure that this Dalmatian Pelikan is the same bird who was seen in Poland between 25.06-05.07( www.clanga.com)! So its not necessary must be an escape! Best Pawel Malczyk

Notice the pale spot on the upper edge of the lower mandible (ca 33 % from the tip of the bill) which is probably diagnostic for this very individual. This spot is also present on the Polish bird: http://clanga.com/images/full/pl_okno.php?zdj=P1183.JPG. Furthermore, primary number two on its right wing has a damage near the shaft which is also visible on some of the pictures taken in Poland.
